Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) officially opened its newest location in the Seaport District in Boston on Wednesday, January 31. The new location will provide students with the opportunity to work among industry leaders in the Boston area and will continue the institution’s leadership in research and innovation.
Representative Mahoney attended the opening along with local leaders and statewide officials including Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty, and WPI President Laurie Leshin.

I couldn’t be more proud to see our local university position itself to provide an even more incredible and unique experience for its students. Worcester is very fortunate to have such a renowned and innovative institution in our community. I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of our local powerhouse.”
